It’s Amazing Where A Little Bit of Faith Will Take You

My Faith Story

Since I was a young girl, I’ve always loved to design and create beautiful spaces. It all started with my grandmother who was a seamstress for over 40 years. Spending hours on end in fabric stores and watching her craft together unique pieces cultivated my love of patterns and design aesthetic. I love to construct designs that not only evoke emotion, but also provide solutions for my clients’ overall tech woes.

As a user experience (UX) designer, I center my work around the needs of the user and the interactions users make with the websites I create. I intertwine good design, layout, and flow to ensure that an optimal user experience is achieved when users visit any site that I create.

I started my creative business 8 years ago on just about an ounce of faith. I was at a turning point in my life. I’d just had a baby. In addition, my husband and I were transitioning from one lifestyle and career to the next. We didn’t know exactly what we wanted to do. However, we knew that we wanted careers that were flexible enough to spend foundational time with our son and neither of us wanted to be restricted to an office all day.

“We wanted the freedom to set our own schedules doing work that we loved.”

It was a bit strange for some of our friends and family. “What do you mean you’re going to start your own business?” Fast forward to now, both of our businesses are doing well. And some of those same friends and family members are calling me in hopes of being able to start their own business and say goodbye to their 9 to 5s.

I build websites and style brands so that you don’t have to.

Sustainability Statement

I have a responsibility to live my life for not only myself, but to take on a concept introduced by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He requested that we take on a “dangerous unselfishness”. On a mission to do just that I live, work, and thrive with a mindset of making this world a better place by treating people and the planet right.

To accomplish this feat, I keep in mind matters of sustainability as I go about each day. As a family, we recycle, conserve when possible, and try our best to incorporate environmental responsibility into our lives. At home, we do this in small ways like recycling, using scratch paper, not printing when we can accomplish a task digitally, opening the blinds instead of flicking a switch, not allowing the water to just run while brushing our teeth, and consistently discovering new ways to lighten our environmental footprint when it makes economical sense for our family. While out or shopping online, we seek out brands, products, and services that implement sustainability.

In addition, I believe in the full meaning of sustainability, applying concern for social and economic issues. I believe in championing social causes that create a better, healthier, more peaceful world for all. I support universal human rights. I believe in and embrace diversity as much as creativity. In as much, I believe in empowering my clients. I utilize my business to inspire them, but also to encourage them to become more financially enriched.

Brilliant design begins with a great story.
